Self-adhesive hook and loop fasteners are standard hook and loop fasteners but with an adhesive backing. This makes the application easier when for example sewing or welding is not possible.

YKK hook and loop fastener ADS has a rubber based adhesive and is suitable for use on many surfaces. It is not suitable for use on soft PVC.

5 tips for successfully applying self-adhesive Velcro:

1. Make sure that the surface to be coated is free of grease, dust, and other contaminants.
2. The best result is obtained when processing at room temperature (approx. 20 degrees Celsius).
3. Heating the substrate promotes adhesion.
4. Press the Velcro firmly after installation.
5. Allow bonding to rest for at least 24 hours before loading.
